Some impressions from NAB 2008


First time at NAB. TAMUZ presents the new Class-1 monitor from the IMPERIAL EAGLE series. The RLM 124W HD is a 24“ wide screen following the recommendation EBU-3320. Calibrated to a brightness of 80 cd/m2 and a measurable contrast range of >1.000:1 at full EBU primary colors.


The well established GREY OWL series was shown side by side. These monitors have three SD/HD-SDI and analog video and graphics too. At the right hand side a LSM142W HD FullHD resolution displaying a MultiViewer signal.


A special setup was built to demonstrates the MRC functionality of TAMUZ Broadcast Monitors. Therefor all monitors was connected to a TCP/IP network and were controlled by the MRC software on a PC.


An other highlight at the TAMUZ booth, the AAC – automatic color alignment, a unique development what allows to set the TAMUZ LCD Video Monitors to correct colors automatically within minutes using the probe PM5639.


Monitors everywhere at the TAMUZ NAB 2008 booth, from FullHD screens in 24 or 47 inch size up to the new monitors with built-in quad interface from the BLACK MILAN series. Four analog or digital SD or HD signals can be combined to a multiviewer like layout, including realtime clocks.
